![]() ![]() ![]() Occasionally there’s an escort mission or sniping section but the only thing that stands out from the first game is several sequences where you stand on the roof of a van blowing up pursuing bad guys. That same problem remains true here, with the majority of story missions involving simply killing everyone at a certain location. The real problem with Second Son though was the lack of variety and imagination in its story missions. The plot is all extremely predictable though (literally if you recall her introduction in the original) and as Fetch starts working for Brent’s underworld contact the game serves up an equally unsurprising series of stock missions.Ĭuriously there are no moral choices though, which is fine as they were always patronisingly simplistic – but they were meant to be a key part of the franchise. The main story revolves around Fetch looking for her brother Brent, who she loses contact with as the pair are planning to leave for Canada with the ill-gotten gains of some super-powered robberies. Her powerset has a few more abilities this time round, some of which aren’t unlocked until you beat the story, but despite all the neon special effects they don’t really amount to much more than being able to run up walls and fire what are essentially laser beams and missiles.
